Grounded in extensive operational experience across emergency communications as well as adult and juvenile corrections, I bring authentic practitioner insight to designing coursework, mentoring first-generation learners, and developing the academic skills of non-traditional students. My research examines citizens’ academies, institutional transparency and trust, civic engagement, and correctional education pathways.
